Getting Started

Trenchport HUD v16.0 Configuration dialog

HUD v16.0 Configuration now shows the saved Gender and Ambient Symptoms state and includes the Gender submenu.

Getting Started

Configuration

Config is the central home for private player preferences, meter presentation, Gender and ambient illness voice settings, and optional-system controls. The main dialog now shows the saved Weather Temperature, Gender, and Ambient Symptoms state.

  • Name sets or updates the RP character name displayed by the overhead meter.
  • Meter Color opens the saved overhead text color picker for the character meter.
  • Temp Unit chooses Fahrenheit or Celsius for the Weather display only.
  • Gender opens the Gender & Ambient Symptoms menu. The selected Male, Female, or Neither value also synchronizes the matching Pregnancy role.
  • Reload refreshes the HUD from the cloud and pulls in the player's latest saved character data.
  • Wellness, Bills, Companion, Intimacy, and Pregnancy each open a separate private menu with their own independent on/off controls and settings.

Important: Gender is shared with the Pregnancy role, but the Pregnancy system itself still has its own Enable/Disable setting. Turning Ambient Sounds off only silences automatic illness symptom sounds; it does not disable Wellness or remove an illness.

Gender and Ambient Symptoms dialog

Gender controls both the ambient illness voice profile and the matching Pregnancy role. Ambient Sounds can be enabled or disabled independently.

Getting Started

Gender & Ambient Symptoms

HUD v16.0 combines the character Gender choice with the voice used for automatic cough, sneeze, and sniffle sounds. The same Gender selection is synchronized to the private Pregnancy role.

  • Male uses the male ambient illness sound set and synchronizes the Pregnancy role to Male.
  • Female uses the female ambient illness sound set and synchronizes the Pregnancy role to Female.
  • Neither keeps the Pregnancy role as Neither and uses a mixed Male/Female ambient sound pool.
  • Sounds On allows the overhead meter to play randomized public illness sounds when the Wellness system reports an eligible cough, sneeze, or sniffle symptom.
  • Sounds Off silences those ambient illness sounds without changing the saved Gender, Pregnancy enablement, Wellness state, diagnosis, or mechanical illness effects.
  • Saved setting: Config displays the current Gender and whether Ambient Symptoms are Enabled or Disabled so players can confirm their current choice at a glance.

Important: Ambient sounds represent symptoms already supplied by the illness system. Changing Gender or turning sounds on does not create an illness by itself.

Weather temperature unit dialog

The temperature-unit selector only changes the Weather display between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

Getting Started

Weather Temperature Unit

The temperature preference changes how the HUD displays the cached Mobile, Alabama weather report.

  • Fahrenheit shows temperature and heat index in °F.
  • Celsius converts the same cached values to °C.
  • Display only: the preference does not alter heat bands, Hydration drain, illness risk, or any cloud calculations.
  • Saved locally: the HUD remembers the chosen unit after reset or reattachment.

Trenchport RP Setup dialog

Existing dialog image, already cropped to the menu.

Getting Started

Name & Meter Color

New characters should register their RP name and choose a readable overhead meter color before using public systems.

  • Register / Name sends the chosen RP name to the overhead meter and character record.
  • Color / Meter Color offers White, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow, Orange, Cyan, Pink, Lime, Teal, Navy, Lavender, Gold, Brown, Gray, Maroon, and Magenta.
  • Character name versus display name: the RP name is the in-system character identity; it does not rename the Second Life account.

Important: Use a character name that other players can recognize. Very long names can make menus and overhead text harder to read.

Character Profile dialog

Current Character Profile menu with stats, profile pages, titles, status line, and achievement access.

Character & Social

Character Profile

Ch Profile combines the automatic activity profile, written biography, meter statistics, chapters, titles, achievements, custom status line, and Companionship access.

  • My Profile shows the automatic system profile built from saved Trenchport activity such as level, combat, fishing, bounties, chapters, addictions, social progression, and equipped title.
  • New Profile creates or updates the written public biography used by Network profile browsing.
  • Browse Pros checks nearby registered players. Browse All browses saved written profiles across the Network.
  • Stats reports meter, addiction, Wellness, illness, and pregnancy-stage values available to the current build.
  • Chapters reports RP writing totals and chapter progression.
  • Titles equips, clears, shows, or hides permanently unlocked titles.
  • Achievement controls title-unlock sound and local announcements. Social opens Companionship.

Important: The automatic profile, written biography, equipped title, and custom status line are separate records. Updating one does not overwrite the others.

Meter Status Line dialog

Existing dialog image, already cropped to the menu.

Character & Social

Meter Status Line

The Status Line is a short roleplay note displayed beneath the equipped title on the overhead meter.

  • Set Line saves or replaces the text. The maximum is 48 characters.
  • Clear Line removes it. Preview prints the saved value before changing it.
  • Useful examples: “Open to RP,” “Working the docks,” “Smells like smoke,” or a brief injury/mood note.
  • Persistence: the line reloads after HUD or meter resets, detachments, and reattachments.
Achievement settings dialog

Existing dialog image, already cropped to the menu.

Character & Social

Titles & Achievements

Titles are permanent progression rewards. The Achievement helper checks new unlocks and can announce them locally.

  • Sound On/Off controls the unlock sound. Local On/Off controls local-chat announcements.
  • Check Now performs an immediate unlock scan. Status displays settings and pending notices.
  • Disable pauses achievement polling without deleting earned titles.
  • Title sources include levels, combat, fishing, bounties, Kitchen Rush, chapters, addiction/rehab, Companionship, Intimacy, pregnancy, and Justice progression where configured.

Important: The first initialization baselines existing titles silently so an established character is not flooded with old achievement announcements.

Companionship status dialog

Companionship is a separate optional social-progression system with its own saved state.

Character & Social

Companionship

Companionship is optional social progression for active roleplay near other participating HUD users in Trenchport.

  • Social Energy is the short-term meter. Qualifying interaction raises it; prolonged online solitude can lower it after the protected period.
  • Social Reputation is permanent progression and does not drain.
  • Unique Connections counts distinct participating players met through qualifying roleplay.
  • Qualification requires both nearby players to have Companionship enabled and to use /me during the same qualifying activity window.
  • Status reports energy, reputation, connections, point timing, and next possible alone drain. Disable pauses participation.

Important: Companionship advances only in Trenchport. Permanent Reputation and connections remain saved when the toggle is disabled.

Wellness & Medical

Wellness and Needs status dialog

Wellness status reports Hunger, Hydration, Stamina, trained cap, heat effects, illness totals, and pregnancy-stage data when applicable.

Wellness & Medical

Wellness, Hunger, Hydration & Stamina

Wellness is the master switch for Needs and mechanical combat. It also displays heat, active illness penalties, gym training, and pregnancy-stage modifiers.

  • Enabled: Hunger, Hydration, Stamina, activity costs, recovery, heat effects, illness penalties, and pregnancy modifiers operate normally.
  • Disabled: Needs drain/recovery pause, bars hide, mechanical combat is locked, and the character is forced into RP COMBAT. Existing illnesses are not erased.
  • Status refreshes the cloud and reports current values, trained Stamina cap, gym cycle, recovery rate, heat band, recent water protection, illness totals, and pregnancy stage.
  • Base caps: Hunger 100, Hydration 100, Stamina 100. Gym training can raise the trained Stamina cap to 150 in +10 steps per completed hour.
  • Low needs: poor Hunger/Hydration slow Stamina recovery. Zero Hunger/Hydration can reduce the effective Stamina cap.
  • Heat: cached Mobile, Alabama weather increases Hydration drain during high heat. Drinking recognized water gives two hours of heat-risk protection but does not remove the weather drain multiplier.
  • Consumables: food and drinks restore needs and may grant recovery or buff-duration bonuses according to their configured ItemEffects values.

Wellness & Medical

Illness & Exposure Effects

Illness is part of Wellness and Medical. Conditions can arise from configured exposure systems instead of requiring a doctor to create every illness manually.

  • Exposure sources can include proximity to contagious players, heat and strenuous activity, fishing/gutting/bait handling, animal contact, intimacy/STI processing, and drug use.
  • Automatic limit: the current cloud rules permit at most one active automatically acquired condition, no more than one new automatic condition in seven days, and a 30-day immunity window before the same recovered condition can be automatically applied again.
  • Mechanical penalties: active condition totals can reduce effective Max HP and Stamina cap and increase Hunger/Hydration drain.
  • HP behavior: a new Max HP penalty may clamp current HP down. Recovery restores capacity but does not grant free healing.
  • Stamina behavior: illness percentage penalties stack with Hunger/Hydration cap penalties. Recovery restores capacity but does not refill Stamina.
  • Medical care: diagnosis, treatment items, recovery timing, symptoms, and hospital records continue through Medical tools.
Intimacy dialog

Intimacy is an adult-only optional system, independent from Pregnancy and Companionship.

Wellness & Medical

Intimacy

Intimacy is an optional adult-only progression system. It uses private proximity and mutual confirmation without reading roleplay posts.

  • Opt-in: both adult players must have Intimacy enabled.
  • Proximity: both players remain very close for the qualifying period before private confirmation becomes available.
  • Mutual confirmation: both HUDs must confirm the same scene before progression is awarded.
  • Progression: a confirmed scene awards the initial Sex Addiction point/encounter. Continued confirmed scenes can award hourly points, subject to the daily cap.
  • Privacy: the system tracks consent state, proximity, timestamps, and configured outcomes; it does not inspect chat posts.
  • Disable stops new prompts and progression. It does not delete previously saved records.

Important: Intimacy confirmation and sexual-health confirmation are separate steps. A confirmed intimate scene does not automatically mean sexual activity occurred.

Wellness & Medical

Sexual Health, Condoms & No-Sex Choice

After both players confirm an intimacy scene, the Sexual Health helper privately asks whether sex occurred and what protection was used.

  • No Sex closes the medical portion of an intimate but nonsexual scene. No Condom is consumed, no STI exposure is rolled, and no pregnancy evaluation begins.
  • Five-minute timeout: an unanswered decision is automatically finalized as No Sex, even when a HUD is detached. The old prompt will not return after reattachment.
  • Condom Used requires matching answers from both players. The cloud consumes exactly one Condom total from an available inventory.
  • No Condom proceeds without condom protection when both players agree.
  • Mismatched answers consume nothing and finalize nothing; both players must answer again.
  • STI outcomes are private and appear through Medical/Health. Condoms significantly reduce exposure risk but are not represented as guaranteed protection.
  • Birth Control Pills are checked separately for pregnancy risk and do not reduce STI exposure.
Pregnancy configuration dialog

Pregnancy settings include role, term length, testing, birth control, and private status.

Wellness & Medical

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is disabled by default and independent from Intimacy. It controls private reproductive role, term length, testing, birth-control status, due dates, and scaled Needs effects.

  • Role / Gender sync: Female, Male, or Neither can be selected in Pregnancy, and the new Config > Gender menu synchronizes the same Pregnancy role. Female may become pregnant, Male may cause pregnancy, and Neither supports infertility or operations that prevent pregnancy.
  • Compatibility: both players must enable Pregnancy and use compatible Female/Male private roles before pregnancy evaluation can occur.
  • Term Length offers 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, or 120 RP days. Each term is divided into three equal stages.
  • Status reports possible/test-pending or confirmed state, reference number, testing window, due date, stage, progress, symptoms, and Needs modifiers.
  • Take Test consumes one Pregnancy Test from cloud inventory when the test window is available. Hospital testing is also supported by the Medical system.
  • Birth Control reports active pill coverage. Using a filled Birth Control Pills pack activates or extends coverage by 30 days.
  • Protection: condoms and active Birth Control can reduce pregnancy risk according to the private evaluation. Birth Control does not provide STI protection.
  • Notices: private stage-change, due-soon, and due-now messages are delivered through the HUD.
Pregnancy stage modifiers
Stage 3 modifiers remain active after the due date until delivery or another closing outcome.

Medical records dialog

Records > Medical opens private health status, visit history, bills, and prescriptions. Some care actions still happen at the Trenchport Hospital terminal.

Wellness & Medical

Medical Records & Hospital Billing

Medical tools connect the player HUD to hospital records, active health information, invoices, insurance adjustments, and authorized treatment roleplay.

  • Health information displays active conditions, symptoms, mechanical penalties, diagnosis/treatment status, and private sexual-health updates where available.
  • Patient records store emergency visits, appointments, procedures, prenatal care, delivery records, and release status.
  • Invoices are created for configured visits and procedures. Patients can review authorized invoices and submit payment through the supported terminal/HUD flow.
  • Medical Insurance is purchased through Bills. Active coverage reduces newly created eligible hospital service invoices by 50%; pharmacy purchases are not discounted.
  • Pregnancy care supports testing, prenatal checkups, vitamins, delivery, and pregnancy record history.
  • Privacy: player-facing record access is restricted to the patient and authorized medical/administrative workflows.

Combat

Fight HUD dialog

The Fight HUD shows current Combat Status and quick access to Attack, NPC Hunt, Heal, Pose, Modes, Throw Towel, Help, and Callout.

Combat

Fight HUD

The Fight menu is the main combat hub. It shows the current combat mode at the top and routes player attacks, NPC hunting, healing, stance animation, surrender, help, and Discord fight callouts.

  • Combat Status shows the current live mode, such as METER COMBAT, directly in the menu header area.
  • Attack opens the attack options and then scans for an eligible nearby player.
  • NPC Hunt scans for authorized Trenchport NPCs and uses the separate hunt-combat flow.
  • Heal restores up to 25 HP when the target and healing lockouts permit it.
  • Pose toggles the Fight Stance for roleplay.
  • Modes opens METER COMBAT (Stamina), CLASSIC METER, RP COMBAT, and NON COMBATIVE.
  • Throw Towel surrenders to a nearby meter fighter, records a loss/win without reducing HP, and uses the configured 12-hour cooldown.
  • Help opens the combat help text from inside the Fight menu.
  • Callout posts that the player is looking for a fight in the configured Discord channel.
  • Roll rule: attacks roll 1–20 against defense 8; 8 or higher hits.

Important: Mechanical combat requires Wellness enabled, an authorized HUD version, an active meter, positive HP, and METER COMBAT unless a verified event mode supplies its own rules.

Combat Modes dialog

Combat Modes lets the player choose METER COMBAT with Stamina, CLASSIC METER, RP COMBAT, or NON COMBATIVE when permitted.

Combat

Combat Modes

Combat mode communicates consent, while the Meter rule choice controls whether mechanical combat uses Stamina. Practice and Tournament are separate verified event states.

  • METER COMBAT — STAMINA enables normal HUD attacks and incoming meter damage with PvP Stamina costs.
  • CLASSIC METER keeps mechanical Meter Combat but removes Stamina costs. If either fighter in a PvP pair uses Classic, that pair uses Classic rules for the 10-minute active encounter window.
  • RP COMBAT marks the character as open to combat roleplay while blocking mechanical attacks and meter damage.
  • NON COMBATIVE marks the character as not participating and blocks mechanical combat.
  • Practice Mode: OOC class mode with isolated 100 HP, melee/knife, inventory-gated guns, no Ammo consumption, immediate class healing, zero Stamina cost, no normal records, and no NPC Hunt.
  • Tournament Mode: staff event mode with isolated 100 HP, melee-only attacks, zero Stamina cost, and no NPC Hunt.
  • Wellness lock: disabling Wellness forces RP COMBAT. Re-enabling Wellness restores eligibility, but the player may need to choose METER COMBAT again depending on the saved-state transition.

Important: The overhead meter is the final authority. Wait for the overhead mode to update before attacking or assuming damage is enabled.

Combat

Guns, Ammo & Police Detection

Live player gun attacks use scarce cloud Ammo and can create a police acoustic incident when the shot is inside active sensor coverage.

  • Live player combat: requires an enabled firearm and at least one Ammo. One Ammo is consumed before the attack roll, so hits and misses both cost a round.
  • NPC Hunt: requires a real firearm but currently uses unlimited Hunt ammo. It does not consume Ammo and is recorded as HUNT_EXEMPT.
  • Practice: requires the inventory gate but does not consume Ammo or create police alerts. The cloud verifies an active Practice session and location.
  • Tournament: remains melee-only.
  • PD sensors: active sensors advertise 96-meter horizontal coverage. Normal player shots inside coverage are grouped into police incidents.
  • Altitude: normal player shots above the configured city ceiling (default Z 1000) still consume Ammo but are marked ABOVE_COVERAGE and do not alert PD.
  • Privacy: police alerts provide an approximate location and shot count rather than exposing the shooter identity publicly.

Inventory now includes direct buttons for Wearables, Inventory, Use Item, Transfer, Craftable, and the Recipes website.

Items & Crafting

Inventory

Inventory manages cloud items, wearables, consumable effects, player transfers, and recipe access.

  • Wearables opens the equipment-slot menu for Head, Gloves, Torso, Feet, and Pants.
  • Inventory opens the paged cloud-item list.
  • Use Item groups usable items by effect category and surfaces Food and Drink as direct categories so meals, water, soda, and similar consumables are easier to find.
  • Transfer sends a transferable item to a nearby player through the secured inventory flow.
  • Craftable checks recipes the character can currently make from owned ingredients, including wearable gear recipes that require a crafting station.
  • Recipes Web opens the complete searchable public recipe catalog where wearable and armor recipes appear alongside all other crafting recipes.
  • Food and drinks can restore Hunger, Hydration, Stamina, or configured buffs. Use Item descriptions identify supported effects.

Important: Item names must match the cloud catalog exactly. An object or recipe that uses a different spelling creates a separate item and will not satisfy the intended recipe.

Wearables equipment slots dialog

Wearables are equipped by slot. Open a slot to see what is currently worn and what matching items you can equip or unequip.

Items & Crafting

Wearables & Defense

Wearables let characters equip crafted clothing and armor pieces that occupy fixed slots and can add backend Defense.

  • Slots are divided into Head, Gloves, Torso, Feet, and Pants.
  • Equip moves an owned wearable from cloud inventory into the selected slot. Unequip returns the currently worn item to inventory.
  • One item per slot: equipping a new item into a slot replaces the current piece in that same slot.
  • Defense is calculated from all equipped pieces. The total appears in character Stats and is applied by the meter during combat.
  • Damage reduction: every 1 Defense equals 1% incoming damage reduction, up to the configured cap of 30.
  • Crafting flow: wearable recipes live in the normal recipe website and Craftable checker, so players do not need a separate armor-only menu to learn the required ingredients or station.

Important: If you equip or unequip gear and immediately enter combat, the meter now forces an instant Defense refresh so the new protection value applies right away.

Timed crafting station dialog

Station menus show the craft options available for that station type, current status, and a Claim button for ready output.

Items & Crafting

Timed Crafting Stations

Timed stations consume ingredients when a craft successfully starts, save the job in the cloud, and release the output only when the owner claims it.

  • One running job per physical station: while the timer is active, other players cannot begin another craft at that station.
  • Ready jobs do not block: when the timer expires, the station becomes available even when the original crafter has not claimed the output.
  • Owner-only claim: completed output is stored under the crafter’s UUID and cannot be taken by another player.
  • Station-type claim: a ready craft can normally be claimed from another station of the same type, such as any RELOADING bench.
  • No cancel/refund: ingredients are consumed at start. Station help identifies recipes where cancellation is unavailable.
  • Activity cost: a valid craft start can charge Wellness Needs according to recipe duration; failed, blocked, or duplicate starts should not charge.

Bills configuration dialog

Bills participation is optional and tracks due periods, service selection, and insurance coverage.

Economy

Bills & Medical Insurance

Bills are optional recurring RP expenses. Participation is disabled by default and controlled independently from Bank and Wellness.

  • Enable creates recurring accounts for Rent, Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, Internet, and Medical Insurance and starts fresh due periods.
  • Overview reports current bank balance, credit score, cadence, due/coverage date, status, and price for every service.
  • Weekly or Monthly selects the next coverage period and price for the chosen service.
  • Payment debits the bank atomically and extends coverage from the later of the current time or existing coverage end.
  • Credit reporting: eligible bills can reward on-time payment or penalize a missed period. There is a 24-hour grace period after the due time before a missed penalty is applied.
  • Reward windows: weekly rewards apply inside the final two days before due; monthly rewards apply inside the final seven days before due.
  • Medical Insurance never changes credit score. Active coverage reduces new eligible hospital service invoices by 50%, but does not discount pharmacy purchases.
  • Disable pauses recurring bill processing. Re-enabling resets account due dates rather than immediately punishing the player for the disabled period.

Troubleshooting

When the HUD does not respond

  1. Close old dialogs and wait a few seconds before reopening the HUD.
  2. Confirm the HUD and overhead meter are both worn and that the 60-second startup period has completed.
  3. Use the relevant Status or Reload action to refresh saved state.
  4. Confirm Wellness is enabled before testing mechanical combat or Needs-driven activity.
  5. Confirm the HUD version is authorized and use the landing-point/update-delivery instructions when it is not.
  6. For timed crafting, remember that the cloud owns the job. A script reset does not erase a valid cloud craft.

Recipes remain on the separate recipe page so the HUD does not need to hold the full catalog in LSL memory.
