How to Make Money in Trenchport
There are plenty of ways to earn RP credits throughout the city. Work a steady job, run a business, trade with other players, invest your money, or head into the swamp for more active ways to earn.
Work a Job
Businesses, gangs, and city departments may offer paid positions. A regular job is one of the most dependable ways to build credits while creating ongoing roleplay.
- Clock in at the correct register or timeclock.
- Remain active during the shift.
- Clock out when the shift is finished.
- Pay depends on the job and its payroll settings.
Use Player Vending Machines
Player vending machines let you sell approved inventory items to other players, including while you are offline.
- Choose an approved inventory item.
- Add the quantity you want to sell.
- Set a price within the machine's allowed range.
- When another player buys it, the item leaves your vending stock and the payment is deposited into your account.
Trade Directly with Other Players
Players can make their own deals involving credits, services, and inventory items. Direct trading gives characters room to negotiate their own prices and business relationships.
- Sell crafted products, drugs, food, fish, wildlife loot, gathered materials, or another item a character wants.
- Characters may also negotiate payment for services.
- Confirm the price and all terms before transferring credits or inventory.
Use the Stock Market
Buy shares in available companies and sell them later if their value increases.
- Watch the market before deciding when to buy.
- Choose when to hold or sell your shares.
- Prices can rise or fall, so profit is never guaranteed.
Play at the Casino
The casino offers a chance to win credits quickly, but losses can happen just as quickly.
- Casino play is a high-risk way to earn credits.
- A winning streak can grow a balance fast.
- A losing streak can erase those winnings.
Go Fishing
Fishing is one of the better active ways to make money in Trenchport and can be done throughout the city.
- Buy bait from the Bait Shop.
- Use the Trenchport fishing pole to cast.
- Sell catches to the Bayou Trader.
- Rare fish and larger catches may be worth considerably more than common fish.
- Fishing can also produce useful inventory items, drugs, and other surprises.
Hunt Gators and Wildlife
Wildlife hunting can provide some of the strongest active payouts, especially when hunting gators.
- Defeat the animal and collect its dropped meat and parts.
- Sell eligible wildlife loot to the Bayou Trader.
- Gator hunting is intended to be a group activity.
- Gators have much more health than ordinary wildlife and can quickly overwhelm a solo hunter.
- Bring a group, healing consumables, and enough preparation before starting the encounter.
- Deer and raccoons are easier solo targets, but generally provide smaller rewards.
